I'm Divina and I am a mum to 3 beautiful children all delivered via caesarean.
I am your Certified C Section Coach
I had my first baby in 2016, a girl. I was 41 weeks and my water broke, I was all set to have her naturally. 30 hours later I was told it had been too long and that I had to have a c section.
Due to what the professionals had called "an emergency c section" for my previous birth, they told me it was best I plan to have another this time and not consider a vaginal birth. My second baby was born on 2018, a boy.
I became pregnant again in 2021, I was determined it would be different this time. I went on to research my body, review my births with multiple professionals and was told I could go for a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Caesarean). I was 42 weeks and 2 days and my waters broke. Over 24 hours later I was told a c section would be best. My third child, another boy was born.
I have been through major surgery 3 times in 5 years.
During this last birth and being told again "c section would be best" I said to myself I will not let another woman have to go through this again without support. Whether planned, unplanned or emergency this type of procedure is major not only physically but emotionally too and I have found through my experiences it had not been addressed or even mentioned as a possible outcome.
I provide support for women dealing with the physical and emotional feelings that can come with having a c section.
It is very difficult for anyone who hasn't been through a caesarean to truly understand what we are going through.
There can be feelings of guilt and shame for not feeling insanely happy with your baby because all you are thinking of is, when will the feeling come back to my legs.
Feelings of actual pain because you have just had your stomach cut open!
Feelings of sadness because a staff member has to pass you your baby and change their nappy as you can't get up from the bed.
Feelings of fear wondering if your body will ever heal and be the same again.
Believe me, I know these feelings deeply... 3 times over.
Whether your c section is planned, unplanned or an emergency allow me to support through your experience.
You will be coached by someone who truly understands.
And of course, you can bring your baby to the coaching sessions! :-)

Donna was the mother of a daughter aged 7. She came to me doubting that she would be able to tackle her lack of motivation as it was something she had struggled with throughout her life and particularly during motherhood. I was able to reflect on what Donna was saying to allow her to see I am listening and understanding and I can offer a new perspective.
I was able to identify tools that would support her throughout our journey working together. Donna was in her words "amazed to see the growth in just the first 4 weeks". Her overall health had improved mentally and physically. She had started to prioritise the areas in her life that were important to her and that needed her attention.
In our weeks together she was able to excel in improving health, friends and family connection as well as fun and recreation and increase her motivation.
In Donna's words "I am truly thankful and would recommend any mum to go and get coaching from Divina to improve your life as a mum."
Stacey was a mum to twin girls aged 3 years old. She was feeling lost and her confidence had taken a hit. She was overwhelmed with the number of things she felt needed doing around the house and in her life and I just didn’t feel as though she was handling it all very well. Her children were premature and spent time in NICU which was an experience that seemed to dominate all aspects of her life. I was able to take a trauma informed approach to talking about Stacey's birth trauma and offer insight on how this was affecting different areas of her life and her decision making. With my tools Stacey left the calls feeling motivated and ready to tackle the week ahead. I kept in touch with Stacey between sessions to give that extra boost of motivation. Stacey now has the tools to cope with the ups and downs of life.
